Quarantine cage - questions

I'm getting a hatchling JCP. I modified this large Kritter Keeper cage.

My question is about the perches. Looking at pics on this forum, is it better to have perches in an "X" shape or "Y" shape as opposed to single horizontal perches as I've done?
