Hi Adam! I've kept several long term pairs and trios together over the years. One male and female will get along fine, but you should have a spacious enclosure so she can remove herself from the possibility of over aggressive courtship should it happen during breeding season (generally in the Spring and early Summer). When keeping multiple females, keep an eye on them as well since they can be aggressive with one another from time to time.
