Then after he is used to it and out more slowly start handling him. If he likes to jump sit on the floor so it's a smaller drop if he does jump. Also when you do hold him just hold him don't pet or touch him. Just let him sit there and get used to that. Them once he feels comfortable with that then you can pet or touch him more but just a little at a time. I hope that helps some.
