That's too easy! I've seen both animals in my yard over the years, but not in combat. That's a great horned owl (Bubo virginianus)chowing down on a yellow rat snake (Pantherophis, (formerly Elaphe) obsoleta quadrivittata.) The yellows & blacks are our largest rat snakes, & can both approach eight feet.
Even an eight footer, however, would probably not have been able to overpower the owl. They are not called the tiger of the sky for nothing. The snake was dinner the moment the owl saw it.
