Juvenile coachwhips and juvenile black racers are very similar to each other. It's kinda like how alot of the larger ratsnakes have similar looking you.
Racer or coachwhip, either way it would have just been a mean, bitey critter. I've actually found them to be worse than baby carpet or green tree pythons, as far as sheer tenacity goes.
