You have the right idea in terms of giving your snake a varied diet. However you don't want to make a habit of feeding just parts of animals (chicken legs, fish fillets, etc). Snakes get most of their nutrients from the organs and GI tracts of the species they eat. The muscle is just calories without a lot of nutrition. Occasional chicken parts won't hurt your snake but they will not make it healthier either.

If you want to give your snake a more interesting and possibly more nutritious diet there are lots of options most of which are available from feeder rodent suppliers.

Ex...Mice, Rats, Chicks, Quail, Soft Furred Rats, Gerbils, Rabbits, etc.
