Sceloporous Lizards in California?

I live in San Diego and have yet to see a spiny lizard other than side blotches and a few others. If I could get a hold of a couple of merriam canyon or crevice spiny lizards I know my fortunes would come around feeding this poor little guy who has yet to have a meal in him =(.

Throughout keeping 21-24 Alterna my whole life I have not had one as stubborn to get started as this guy. He is a 277 or Red Bluff. I hope to be able to catch some if I can find any to use for scenting! I've never seen one where I live so I don't I will ever be able to get a hold of one or two...
