Cophosaurus(Earless) seem to work the best for scenting. Living is SD you have sideblotch(as you said) and they are very good too. Almost any baby grayband will eat a live approriately sized sideblotch. Try the beaches and the train tracks if you don't know where to catch any. From the SD area whiptails, fence and skinks have all worked too and some individual babies prefer one over the others so try them all if you can.
Worst case scenario buy a pinky pump and a feeding tube(cut the end off at an angle for easy insertion) and force feed Fancy Feast cat food, types: Chicken and Liver "Feast" and/or Beef and Liver "Feast". Fancy Feast is the only catfood I've found that doesn't have dangerous bone chips. Also it has to say "Feast", not Dinner, Sliced or Chunks or whatever. Only the "Feast" types are soft enough. Read the whole title on the can and you will see what I mean. ----- www.hcu-tx.org/
