That got a laugh out of me! I don't know how you guys do it that raise lots more than I do. 18 hatchlings is plenty for me.
I have only gotten 4 of the first clutch to eat. They hatched in early July, and it is no-where close to cool enough in my house to start their brumation. The second clutch I am not worried about since I will be able to cool them within a few weeks from now if they don't eat.
I think you told me that you routinely cool all of your alterna hatchlings without trying to feed until spring. Do you find that they get pretty thin before it is cools down?
Any suggestions on getting these to thrive will be happily accepted. ----- Kent
