I do not know what you sell but let's say you do corn snakes and you breed 1000 of them a year. You put them on a table at a show. The 10 year old boy comes to the show with his mother. Likes one of the snakes you are selling and hands you a $20 bill, then asks you what kind of container it needs, what it eats, or what special care it needs. Chances are it will be a dead herp. Now multiply that be 1000 captive breeders of one herp or another. More dead herps from captive breeders than all the round-ups put together.
