The problem with cribos in San Antonio is that the Texas Indigo is listed as a Threatened Species. You might have a difficult time explaining to TPWD (who always come to the expo) that the animal you are selling is an Eastern or some other subspecies of melanurus.

I guess you could argue that melanurus melanurus looks different enough that they would let it slide, but I wouldn't want to have a table full of baby D. melanurus rubidus or other similar black cribo. You are just asking to be hassled.

I guess if you had Easterns with good paperwork you might be OK but I suspect most people wouldn't bother.
