Lol...'cause everybody in CA surfs? Are you a cowboy? Just kidding...had to give you a hard time. Actually I'm from near Sacramento which is northern CA. The closest beach is San Francisco where the water is normally anywhere from 30-60 degrees...freezing. Some people are totally die-hard and will surf in that stuff but not me. Too bad though because I have tried down in Southern CA before and it's great. I love the ocean but boating is more my style. I am going to learn to SCUBA dive in a couple of weeks in Mexico. Where I am from though you get more snowboarders than surfers. I'm right near Lake Tahoe and all that skiing.
