Is he acting like there's something in his nostril irritating him? If so, make sure humidity levels are not low and add a fan. I know it sounds odd, but I had the same issue with one of my cyclura's. Added a humidifier and a fan for air circulation and never seen it again. Also are you on well water? Try bottled water also, Some minerals in water can build up.
