You have to love the charge: "Putting a Foreign Substance on Highway with Malice."
Man Arrested For Causing Accident With Rubber Snake A 20-year-old man is currently facing charges after a practical joke involving a rubber snake caused a car accident in Clover, South Carolina.
According to police, Stafford Hugh Farris threw the rubber serpent onto the road as a teenage girl was driving down West Highway 55. Seeing the snake, which was attached to a string, the girl slammed on her brakes in an attempt to avoid it, causing the driver behind her to crash into the back of her car.
Police took Farris to the Moss Justice Center and he was charged with "Putting a Foreign Substance on Highway with Malice."
Neither of the drivers involved in the accident sustained injuries, but police estimate about $8,000 in damage was done to the vehicles.
Farris admitted to throwing the snake and "was highly cooperative and showed remorse for what he had done," the police report said. He "was concerned that someone was hurt." autos.aol.com/article/man-arrested-for-causing-accident-with-rubber-snake/?icid=maing-grid7|main5|dl1|sec3_lnk3|97046
