I have a trio of rhinos that ive had for a while. I got the orginal trio from Crutchfield in trade. I ended up having two males and a female so I ended up trading a local breeder for a female. So now I have a fully unrealated trio. I have had the new female for a shorter period of time than the other two. She was kept outside by the breeder.



I kept them indoors in a large-ish cage for a while and they became tame rather quickly. I was able to hold the male with no problems and both the orginal male and orginal female would allow me to pet them. They came from tame stock. I picked them up from Crutchfield and was amazed at how tame his males were.



I recently built them a large outdoor enclosure. I am in Florida so I have the luxury to keep them outside for most, if not all year. When I put them out there, they changed behavior. The male and the orginal female dart around the cage when ever I get close to it. They are aggressive now and tail whip and attempt to bite if I am close enough. The new female is fine with it. She was kept outside and was not inside for too long. She now is tamer for some reason. She sleeps out in the open and not in the hot house that is attached to the cage.



I know this behavior change is normal in this situation. I have read that here and elsewhere. I do my best to leave them alone. I get a little nervous when I don't see the other two and try to find them. So I peek in the hot house and they are always in there. This is my first time keeping anything outdoors so you all can understand my fear of losing them.



So will they come around and be tame again? I have not seen that information anywhere.
