No sir, its not a good idea.

With that said, a good idea is supporting the ackies with a normal temperature range of aprox. 70F to 150F basking spot. Give or take 10degrees either way is not a problem.

Then giving them choices of those temps in the open and in shelter. 90% of monitors lives are in shelter and living in shelter. Not sleeping.

Providing deep substrate and mental security are good, no great ideas.

Finding and maintainin a source of food is another good idea. Supporting the animals with several cages, not just your MY ACKIE CAGE, is a great idea. Those with experience know this.

Those are all good ideas, UV bulbs, well they may not SUCK In a weird way, they are of harm, but only because people "think" They are actually helping when they are not.

A good idea is, look for good ideas that actually add to the monitors health. Thanks
