It's about our society that has let our government get so out of control it's almost become acceptable to regulate every aspect of our lives.

Check this out:

http://michellemalkin.com/2011/09/25/asthma-inhaler/

The EPA document explaining this is the typical and blatantly dishonest bs, just like the bs about the Burmese pythons taking over the country:

http://www.epa.gov/ozone/title6/downloads/mditransition.pdf

They say, "EPA estimates that actions to protect and restore the
ozone layer will save an estimated 6.3 million lives that would have otherwise been lost to skin cancer." But that's just a general statement, they don't say how much (or if any) effect that inhalers have on the ozone, or how many of those 6.3 million (6.3 million? Not 6 million or 5 million, 6.3 million?) lost lives would be due to inhalers.

Anyway, this all may sound off topic, but the point I'm trying to make is that if we consider all the reptile related issues being posted here as *only* reptile-specific or "reptile community" problems, we might as well give up our animals right now. If executive agencies like the EPA can force crap like the above (which affects HUMAN lives) down our throats, then forcing reptile related regulations/bans down our throats is easy pickings. These aren't reptile issues, they are out-of-control-executive-agency issues. Until we get some elected officials who will reduce or eliminate (or at least control) most of these all-powerful Executive agencies like EPA, DOI, Dept. of Education, etc., I don't see much reason to hold out any hope.
