Hey,

Coxi are among the easiest reptiles to breed. In fact, once you get it figured out, you'll worry about how to stop the females from laying too many eggs!

At Pro Exotics we would be able to breed almost all our females by their second birthday, some of our larger lines would breed just after their first birthday.

We have tried a few different ways of cooling, all worked. The most important part of the cooling process is giving the females time off, not the cooling or the temp. Our latest style of "cooling" was to stop feeding the snakes around late October and push the racks against a metal rolling door. The door let some of the cool night air in, and between the cool nights and no food, the snakes pretty quickly ramp down into "winter mode". We would keep them there until March. After that, we pulled the racks away from the door and started feeding. We paired them up soon after that. Most of our females laid two to four clutches per season.

We cooked the eggs at 79.
