Posted by: johnnic at Wed Oct 19 09:30:47 2011 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by johnnic ] if they received your application and processed it and said it's been approved and you're just waiting for it in the mail, you can ask cameron shaw nicely to e-mail/fax a copy of the application. this will usually save 2-4 weeks worth of time as after he approves of the application it has to go back to georgia fws to be mailed to the applicant. you can e-mail me for his e-mail if you don't have it. what i did was apply six months in advance. unfortunately, some of the breeders didn't come through and he modified/added breeders onto my permit for no additional cost. that is prolly the most efficient way of doing this as most breeders/buyers don't like waiting three months for a permit. in all reality, i don't think fws really likes this headache either. i heard that overhead cost of the application process is about $80 and they're only profiting $20. huntin' licenses are much more profitable for them. my personal belief is that this whole thing is pretty ludicrous and that the interstate commerce permit was never intended for this type of situation. but that's just my two cents [ Reply To This Message ] [ Subscribe to this Thread ] [ Show Entire Thread ] | ||
