Hey-
Don't worry about doing anything too harsh. I just shorten the day period to about 8 hours and let the room cool down a bit more at night (just happens naturally with the weather outdoors). I offer them food, but mostly just greens, and not as often as during the warmer months. Mostly I just let them decide if they feel like sleeping or not, and give them the opportunity to come out to bask if they like. While I don't keep your species, I've seen breeding behavior in all of mine doing this.
