I got rid of the cypress mulch i was using, yeah its great for keeping humidity but not what i wanted to keep my water on, i was crusing around my local dirt yard (as i call it) and came across a nice decomposed granite, it holds humidity awesomly and it is very very digable, so far my little water seems to really love it. Had to filter out the bigger rocks but $6.50 for a 75lb bag, is a steal, just thought id share that.
