Lower the temp, offer a small pool to soak in, make sure it can hide (reduce stress). You can afford to feed them small meals, and they can go a while until the next offering because there digestive systems are SLOOOOOWWWW (much unlike the super-on-crack Argus flavor of lizards).
So, I am guessing the (30%) possible chance the chicken has salmonella, the lizard is holding onto the bad faster then the digestive and immune systems can fight off.
