White's tree frog, need advice

Got a young one from Petco. Will not eat and consistently hides in the cool part of the cage and does not come out. Do these go dormant in cool weather? Seems that this is what he is doing. Do they feed at night or day, or does it matter? He is plump and colorful, just acting like a brumating reptile.
