Diamondback has something comin out anus

Ok i have had this terrapin for over 2 years. I have never encountered something like this and i am quite worried.
The primary concern is that he has something hanging out of his anus. I know its not his penis and hes not fanning. I saw it when i came home from work and he was on the basking pad asleep. Its about an inch long coming out and its white and the back it kind of black. The other issue is he has been basking a lot even when there is no lights on. I sleeps on the backing pad a lot. Dont know if these issues are related but i am very worried.
