As a resident of central Ohio, this legislature does apply to me and several of my closest friends. The only news I could find today was this very vague news story listed below.

http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/local/2011/11/30/exotic-animals-rule.html

I know this is a very sensitive subject, will impact each reptile keeper differently and potentially could be the beginning of a snowball effect across even more states. The report does make mention of the ability to maintain ownership of the "banned" animals with proper registration and compliance of new regulations. Of course those details are not yet defined or referenced.

I have personally made several calls to the governors office and they were kind enough to listen to my comments and concerns. Everyone needs to do their part! Be prepared to sit on hold or make an appointment for someone to call you back.
