Well, truth is, they don't need ANY UVB light whatsoever, and almost every pet store will suggest that you buy one with any snake you buy because they tell their employees to do this in order to sell more of the stock on ther shelves as well. All it needs is to be able to properly thermoregulate from a warm area to properly digest meals and be able to retreat to a cooler area as the snake sees fit to conserve it's energy, that is all a snakes life consists of anyway.

Certain lizards like Iguanas for example MUST have UVB rays to synthesize vitamin D, but snakes do not, and yours is primarily nocturnal anyway. Yes, pet stores are notorious for telling customers they need UVB lights, hot rocks, astro-turf cage liners, heat lamp fixtures, and all sorts of stuff you don't need.

Just go with a cheap normal florecent light fixture for lighting alone for a normal daytime cycle, and a heat source that allows the snake to bask in the high 80's if it chooses. Constant UVB exposure as the other poster said is dangerous as heck anyway, and the snake sure as heck doesn't need it.
