This setup has been working well for almost a year now; it houses a male veiled chameleon. I got to work on it after removing the door of a former closet, installing UVB/UVA and heat bulbs, a live ficus tree, palm tree, hanging planter box with pothos ivy, branches and synthetic plants. I mist the whole space twice a day with warm water; droplets are captured by a plastic sheet on the floor, and the "open air" arrangement allows for quick evaporation. A cardboard "door" taped the bottom of the entrance keeps the animal from wandering around the room. I sweep the floor of droppings on a regular basis. This is a great way to observe this magnificent reptile behaving as it would in the wild; it would be wonderful if I could find someone to paint the walls with a forest scene, and perhaps add some hanging synthetic plants from the ceiling.
