I am building a rack system with three cages made of oak ply with solid oak trim. I am using Kreg jig system which is really easy, strong, and fast. My cage dimensions are 6'X2'X2', with two fold down plexi doors trimmed in oak. The inside of the cage is lined with a flexible plastic material and the bottom is covered with ceramic tile over the plastic. The back is three sections of ply with a 1/4" gap between each panel for a sliding plexi divider to house three snakes in each cage until they get bigger. I have three lights wired together with a piece of metal ducting around it to prevent snakes from getting burned. I can send you some pics when completed if you want.
