After a few months hiatus due to overwhelming work commitments, the CrocLog podcasts are up and running again.
First there’s Episode 6 where we interview Greg Miles, a former ranger from Kakadu National Park, who argues that culling of crocodiles it the only viable option to prevent increasing tragedies in the future. Brandon and I don’t entirely agree with him, but his viewpoint is important. Feel free to join the discussion. We also discuss a whole range of crocodile stories from earlier in the year, but no less relevant now.

Then in Episode 7 we interview Brad Bestelink and Andrea Crawford about their experiences diving with Nile crocodiles in the Okavango Delta. This is shortly after I joined them, and got more than any of us bargained for. We also discuss various ways in which crocodiles and other predators try and kill each other, which is to say we’re going for the Animal Face-Off crowd instead of our usual intellectual discussion (say what?). Best of all we recorded the podcast in a vehicle while driving to Kakadu National Park, which doesn’t help the sound quality but does explain the strange noises in the background for once.

Finally, Episode 8 is coming for Christmas. This contains quite a bit of discussion about Lolong, the giant saltwater crocodile I measured in the Philippines last month.
I realize this is probably far too much croc discussion for any sane person to consume at once, so pace yourselves!
Cheers Adam
