RE: impacted gtp castor oil OK?

I just don't feel comfortable shoving a tube in either end so I was going with a very small rat coated and injected with oil as a last try before the vet. I just don't know if castor oil is safe, I have read to use mineral oil.

Does anyone know if castor oil is safe to use?
