If you drop any reptiles core temp below what they need to matobolize their intake, they will indeed go off feed. It is a survival mechanism. If they eat and can not digest their food, the food will rot, cause septicemia and kill your reptile. Varanids are no exception. See how much your varanids will eat while being kept at 60 degrees.
