Posted by: fascination at Mon Jan 16 19:00:52 2012 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by fascination ] I am in the process of building a homemade incubator using a front glass door cooler I have, similar to a wine cooler, that is 6 feet tall and 2 feet wide. i will be gutting it for starters removing all the factory cooling parts. I will be using the Herpstat 2. My concerns are heating. Should I use the 11" flexwatt tape and place it down the entire back and bottom of incubator or go with the radiant heating pads. Would 1 be enough? I see them offered in a 11" X 30" and are rated at 100 watts. I know the pads are more but I'd be ok with that as I want a nice unit. The pads have a cleaner look once installed IMO. I am going to be using the SIM egg containers. I also would like to have some feedback on insulating the cooler if needed, fans, etc. Thanks in advance. [ Reply To This Message ] [ Subscribe to this Thread ] [ Hide Replies ]
