I have been doing quite a bit of research on eyelash vipers.

Pretty much everything I've read has been contradicted by something else I have read. Because of this, I would like to get some advice from people that have kept these snakes.

Firstly, what sorts of caging is most recommended?
I keep all of my current snakes in Vision cages and I have a false bottom exo terra terrarium with live plants, fish, frogs, etc.

I have read that the exo-terras are not a good choice because of the gaps in the doors and the mesh tops.

Could eyelash vipers be kept in some sort of false bottom set up? Would there be too much water in such a set up, what is the likelihood of them drowning?

What sorts of plants would be most recommended? I know pothos is a staple, but what about different kinds of bromeliads?

If possible, I would prefer to keep these snakes in a naturalistic, live planted enclosure, despite the increase in maintainance and carefulness.

How would you rate them as far as ease of care?

I know that they are venomous and should not be taken lightly. They are potentially deadly, although it seems that death is fairly uncommon.

What are some things that I absolutely should know?

Thanks so much,
Jessica
