I agree. The proverbial foot is in the door now. It won't be long before ownership is restricted/denied in all states (already done in a few states). With the little bit of "good intentions" on curbing the problem in Florida you see what has already happened with the federal ruling. Logically will this stop the problem in FL? Not likely. So the question tugs at the back of my mind; what was the real reason for passing this large constrictor law?
If nothing is done now it will appear that reptile keepers, breeders, etc are apathetic and thus the thinking will be... "We restricted some of their basic rights, maybe we can try for more." If you doubt it then you need to catch up on American history.
