Gene pool problem

Interesting idea to be sure, but one big flaw in it, other than of course finding enough people in all 47 states (or however many allow people to keep burms) who are willing to keep a large number of giant snakes. WIthout a relatively large breeding pool in each state, within a few generations severe inbreeding depression would begin setting in and traits like eyelessness and scalelessness, as well as traits that can lead to immunosupression may begin to surface. The more likely scenario is that people will have to settle for mostly normal or common mutations and only states with large populations would see a diversity. That, and very likely many people will just begin resorting to black market practices anyway.
