Thanks for posting this, Cliff. Another great example of how the media is complicit in pushing an agenda. However, the crooks running around as legitimate scientists are the root cause of this article. They are the ones who came up with the "study", not the AP. Why are we treating them with kid gloves?? They are not only violating scientific standards, they are also violating public trust. IMO, we should be aggressively attacking the root cause. How about writing letters to the universities or coming up with an aggressive strategy to expose these crooks to the publcik? Attack the root cause. We can write letters all day to HSUS, politicians who are either ignorant or corrupt, and newspapers/TV shows, but we've seen over the last three years how effective that has been. And all the while these crooks pretending to be scientists are laughing all the way to the bank with our tax money.

Attacking the corrupt "scientists" behind this garbage science may not work either, but at least, at this point, it doesn't fall under Einstein's definition of insanity. The root cause of all this is an out of control government that has agencies that can unilaterally make decisions based on blatantly junk science. If "we the people" don't fix that problem soon, snake ownership will be the least of our worries.
