Sorry. It's been rough. He went to the vet to have surgery to have it amputated. Things were going well. The vet doesn't leave unless he thinks things are okay and they called me to say he was doing well. A few hours later, they called to tell me he had passed away. Miss him so much.

I truly appreciate your concern and your asking about him.
