Chameleon help

My chameleon is 7yrs old and is not eating real well lately. He's drinking lots of water and I just noticed today that his tail has a sore on it about 1/2 inch from tip. I am not sure if he did it to himself or if the crickets did it anyways any idea what to do for him?
