His kidneys are probably not as efficient as they used to be so I'd increase his humidity level a bit and offer him more chances to drink during the day. Without knowing your habitat setup, humidity levels, and other husbandry it is very hard to guess what else is going on. The fact that he has reached old age mean you are doing things well.
