Red-tailed green Rat issue

I purchased a couple of these a few months back(imports), and they have been eating and doing fine,however,the last month I am having a feeding problem with one of them. The one I am having a problem with is a 4-5 ft male,and the last handful of times I have fed him(live rat fuzzies), he has constricted the rat until death,then doesn't eat eat it.He is in 28 quart tub with mulch as bedding and temps are a consistent 80 degrees. Could this be a temp/humidity issue? Thanks for any help or advice.
