Mites on Feeders

My mouse and ASF colonies have mites. They aren't too bad on the mice, but they are tearing my ASFs up, and I believe a lot of the babies are dieing of anemia.

When my pet rats have mites, I gave them Revolution(a parasite preventative for dogs/cats) in a rat-sized dose.

I'm assuming that this would not be safe to use on rodents that will be fed.

I've read things like putting diatomaceous earth in their bedding, and switching their bedding to cedar temporarily to get rid of them.

Anyone have any experience and/or advice on how I can get rid of them? They are in the same room as my pet rats, frogs, snakes, fish, and our computers(where my boyfriend and I are for half the day..) so our options as far as sprays and strong insecticides are limited.
