I was thinking the same thing. Since the American alligator and Black caiman are both in the Family Alligatoridae, you'd think there just might be some remote potential for them to breed. Especially having a black caiman and a leucistic or albino American alligator produce offspring just to see what develops. I have yet to see a pic of an alligator and black caiman side by side (or housed in the same enclosure for that matter).
