Any nice, pure Everglades Rats? I'd love to have a pair of those guys. My pinks eating better than ever, so I'm really hopeful for them. I've been acclimating the female for three years and the male for two. They have never met each other, so I'm crossing my fingers.
My Coachwhip experience has been interesting. I've acclimated many wc boas and pythons, rats and kings, but the Coachwhips have been a little tougher. Feeding was never an issue, and they both have taken live and thawed rodents (mice, rats, rabbit fuzzies), and love to get bobwhite quail and chickens, and the occasional random cb baby snake or lizard that died for unknown reasons (waste not, want not). But their nerves have only settled in the past year to the point they will eat in front of me or even directly from my hand. They hated newspaper and a small, dark cage that most other serpents would desire for acclimating. They truly have done best, even as wild caught adults, in individual 6 foot slant front Neodeshas with a hot basking spot and lots of branches, logs, and other complexities.
I just realized I was rambling to perhaps no one that reads here anymore. I'd love to chat about these amazing animals and compare notes with others, so if anyone wants to discuss, I would love to get some conversations going!
