Friday 4/13 my 5-6 year old female jungle laid her first clutch of 21 eggs. The eggs were removed shortly after she finished lying and according to my roommate she was easy to get the eggs from, and best of all the eggs separated easily. They are all in the incubator and now the long process of waiting. Well it’s not a very long waiting process but the excitement makes it seem so much longer. This female has been paired up with my banded high yellow Male jungle and a young Coastal Jag male that is just starting to begin his color change, showing nice yellow color. We weren’t planning on breeding him this year but he was chasing the younger females so we figured what the hay. Both males were seen locking up with her so it’s not positive as to whom the daddy is but we will know when they hatch. Our Baby season has begun and we are expecting it to be a nice one. :-D I will get pictures up soon just need to upload/resize them.
