Good afternoon,

My female turtle who is approximately 12 years old continuously tries biting at her floating basking platform, and eventually takes huge chunks out of it, which float around the tank. She eats a regular diet and is healthy. I can't figure out why she is doing this. Has anyone else ever had this problem? If so, how did you prevent your turtle from eating the platform?

Thanks in advance!
