Our dog for over 15 years died a few months ago. I realized this was the first time since I was 7 that I did not have a dog. So Mil (the wife) and I headed to one of our local shelters. We saw this dog shivering in her cage. They told us she was abused and extremely shy and only semi trusts one lady at the shelter. At the shelter they put her in a room with us for 15 minutes and she just paced back and forth, slowly coming closer to us each time. Then she finally let my wife pet for a brief second. That was it, it just broke our hearts. I told the lady we had enough time with her. She said, ok, I understand let me find another. I said,, OH NO NO, we want her. I guess many people came in to see her but because she's so shy they turned her down. [ Reply To This Message ] [ Subscribe to this Thread ] [ Show Entire Thread ] | ||
