I agree, although I don't think the abuse was intentional. The former owner died of lung cancer diagnosed when he was stage 4. Nobody paid any attention to the animals, though food was thrown into their cages. Oberon, her mate and pictured here in the midst of the two girls, manhandled Titania, (on top) right out of the food dish. She looked like death warmed over when I intervened and took them home with me.
