Leucistic Black Rats

I've got a few of these now and love them. They're all so docile-even the juveniles are very mellow. Not just calmer than a Texas rat, but calmer than other young black rats I've kept.

Here's my big female, still putting weight back on from her last clutch.


Can someone refresh my memory concerning the relationship between het leucistic and rusty rats? I was thinking at one time all hets were thought to be rusties, but I believe that has been proven incorrect?
