I would not worry about it. If he is eating that means he knows were the food is and how to get it. Just because he is choosing to a small amount does not mean something is wrong. One thing I have learned from 10 years of keeping chameleons is that they all have different personalities and they all eat different amounts and different times. As long as he is eating and putting on weight I would not worry.
