Please inform your friend to stop playing community "hero" and needlessly seeking-out and killng totally harmless snakes in the future.

Please stop assuming you know why the friend killed the snake.
People come here for help identifying snakes. If we berate them, they will be less likely to bother seeking help in the future because "I asked once before and those snake people were @$$holes".

None of us like to see dead snakes, but if we simply point out that that it was a harmless species, the next one may live. If we castigate the person who asks for help, they won't bother next time.

The real "snake haters" aren't going to come here and ask for an ID because to them, it doesn't matter what kind of snake it was as long as it is dead. The people who come here have an honest curiosity and we should not only welcome it, we should encourage it.
